| Fashion Meets Jazz
Fashion Meets Jazz was a monthly creative and lifestyle event co-founded by YASA AFRICA, where creatives would come to engage, exchange business solutions, promote their craft and define entrepreneurial opportunities, which includes a fashion panel, fashion installations and jazz. This event took place at, and with the support of the Orbit Jazz Club in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, South Africa. The fashion industry is South Africa faces a lot of barriers to entry for emerging designers, more especially with large international retail outlets owning much of the retail and fashion market. Our platform contributed to the fashion economic by creating a space where emerging designers can market their product and increase local product consumption , again free PR and attract a new client base, away from the typical fashion industry circles. As well as receive fashion and retail business education from our monthly fashion panel of speakers. In the the space of 7 months we managed to collaborate with, and empower 20 emerging designers, 32 upcoming models, 3 make-up artists, varies photographers and 7 jazz musicians/bands.
